CPUSA condolences sent to CPC on Deng's death

The following message of condolence was sent by the Communist Party USA to the Communist Party of China:

Dear Comrade Jiang Zemin,

On behalf of the Communist Party, USA, I extend to you, to the Central Committee, to all members of the Communist Party of China, to the Chinese people and to his family our profound condolences on the death of Comrade Deng Xiaoping.

Comrade Deng Xiaoping leaves a deep-rooted legacy centered on a strong working class-based Communist Party grounded in Marxist principles as the indispensable condition for building the opening to a modern socialist society in accord with the unique conditions of China.

We wish you continued success in fulfilling his legacy and in the struggle for world peace.
