El 13 de marzo introdujeron los representantes Luís Gutiérrez (demócrata por Illinois) y Jeff Flake (republicano por Arizona) una nueva propuesta migratoria integral, el proyecto de ley “Seguridad por Inmigración Regularizada y una Economía Vibrante” (STRIVE, por sus siglas en inglés), HR 1645. El proyecto ya tiene 29 copatrocinadores iniciales, incluyendo tanto a demócratas liberales como republicanos conservadores.
