U.S. Labor Against the War (USLAW), a nationwide network of labor groups, recently presented an exposé of the U.S. corporate invasion of Iraq under cover of the U.S.-British occupation. The report was presented to the Workers’ Group of the International Labor Organization in Geneva, June 14-15.

DETROIT – Several thousand people marched in downtown Detroit on June 28 to commemorate “The Walk to Freedom” march held in July of 1963. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr, led the first march in anticipation of the famous March on Washington that August.

Forming a landmark partnership, two international unions, the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, and UNITE (Union of Needletrades, Industrial and Textile Employees) announced a joint effort to bring safe working conditions, dignity, and a decent standard of living to 17,000 workers at the nation’s largest industrial laundry.
