CHICAGO — The campaign to raise $400,000 for three modern centers of education and struggle in Los Angeles, Chicago and New York reached the halfway point last week. The tax-deductible N.Y.-based Chelsea Fund for Education and Chicago-based Workers Education Society are organizing the national campaign. These centers will house offices for the Communist Party, Young Communist League, Marxist libraries and progressive bookstores and the People’s Weekly World/Nuestro Mundo newspaper. The centers will be a community resource and provide public space for activities and organizing for social change and progress.
PWW editorial board members are traveling to raise money for the campaign and many staff members are donating $1,000. Look for stories on this and more in upcoming PWW issues.
Grab your hammer and join the crew. Make a pledge today.
