Desmond Thomas, 5, of San Diego, accompanied by his grandmother, joins hundreds of California workers and others opposed to Gov. Arnold Schwarzennegger’s proposed cuts in education and public services. The protest took place outside the Century Plaza hotel in Los Angeles where the governor was holding a gala fundraiser March 16.
