SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Since the terrible events of Sept. 11, residents here have made known their concern for peace and justice at three different demonstrations, with two more scheduled for Oct. 2 and Oct. 9.

Grassroots participants from teens to seniors have focused on "going-home" traffic. With homemade and printed signs, demonstrators reached thousands of commuters. Many honked in support.

Slogans focused on peace, protection of minorities, especially Arabs and Muslims, from acts of violence and protection of civil liberties.
